Sajid Sadpara climbs Mount Everest without oxygen - Minute Mirror

Sajid Sadpara, a prominent mountaineer from Pakistan, created history by climbing Mount Everest without the need of extra oxygen or the support of Sherpas, who are regarded as the sport’s top mountaineers. With this accomplishment, he becomes the first Pakistani to ascend the highest mountain in the world without using any oxygen tanks. Without using supplementary oxygen, Sajid has previously conquered the summits of K2 (8,611m), Gasherbrum-I (8,080m), and Gasherbrum-II (8,035m) in Pakistan, as well as Manaslu (8,163m) in Nepal. His ultimate objective is to ascend each of the fourteen eight-thousanders without using any oxygen. Sajid’s success satisfies the wish of his late father Mohammad Ali Sadpara, a renowned climber in his own right. In a tweet, Sajid said, “History has been made as the first Pakistani to reach the summit of Everest; solo, without the use of supplemental oxygen or personal sherpa assistance.” It was his father’s ambition for Pakistan.” Furthermore, Pakistani mountaineer Naila Kiani made history by being the first non-Nepalese climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest during the current climbing season. Kiani is the second woman from Pakistan to reach the summit, following Samina Baig in 2013. Kiani, a mother of two, boxer, and banker in Dubai, has already climbed five eight-thousanders in Nepal, including K2, Gasherbrum I and II, and Annapurna I, in less than two years. She is now aiming to scale Lhotse, the fourth tallest mountain in her current visit to Nepal. Kiani first gained prominence in 2018 after her wedding photoshoot at K2 Basecamp went viral on social media.
