Longoria reflected on the iconic red carpet moment, where she sported her own gold knit dress.

"I was like, I'll just wear this one, this knit gold, that feels right," she recalled. "Nobody would've known it was a $40 dress."

"It's not the dress, it's the woman who wears the dress," Longoria said of her bold choice.

The actress revealed that the dress was purchased from a store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

Longoria said she was asked by onlookers where she got the dress and left many of them confused by her response.

"I was like, What do you mean? It's mine," she said. "Everybody just loved the dress, and I was like, it's just from Melrose!"

However, Longoria proved her days of discount red-carpet dressing were over as she graced the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday in a glamourous Alberta Ferretti gown.
