There's a new way to hit the links in Effingham County.

"So far everybody is loving it," says Jordon Bala.

Rincon Golf Course now offering hackers a chance play a round while riding Fat Tire Golf Scooters.

"This is the first location we're launching services at," says Bala of The Above Average Golf. "We have been contacted by several other courses around the area that want us to come out and do some test runs."

The Above Average Golf responsible for bringing these two wheel rides to Coastal Georgia.

The scooters feature everything a normal, four-wheeled cart offers including golf bag holder and even a cooler.

"It's a simple turn of the key and throttle," adds Bala. "The bikes are electric powered and only weigh 170 pounds."

While it might be strange seeing golfers zipping around the course on scooters, it's a growing trend as the golf industry works to give customers an experience, something new and exciting when playing a round of golf.

"It's been really cool to watch over a years worth of planning come to fruition and have folks enjoy it and experience something new," says Bala.
